Re: Thanksgiving driving horror stories (Geijn)

I was cruisin home from a really bad party at around 10:30, 11:00. Three lane street, doing 50mph. I was being tail gaited like crazy by everyone. EVERYONE!!
One time, I was even in the right lane (the lane rule doesn't apply off the highway, especially on this road). I couldn't even see this dude's lights. I tapped the brake a few times...nothing. So I just lifted off the gas and coasted. By 30mph, the a-hole finally passed me, then got back in the right lane. While behind him, I "accidentally" left my high beams on.

The Volvo 240 I had to borrow caught fire on the way home.
Re: Thanksgiving driving horror stories (Geijn)

50 mile drive took me 3 and 1/2 hours.
Apparently the terrible driving displayed by people in this state gets even worse on holidays.

Obviously. Seattle drivers got influenced by mostly terrible Vancouver drivers across the border.

90% of I65 was made up with cars from Michigan..... and they can't seem to drive worth a damn

Do you guys in Michigan typically drive on the left side of the road?

West Palm to Atlanta: 11.5 hours
Price of date with hot dancer ... priceless
Price of driving hot dancer friend home, racing a 3000gt vr4 and winning ... priceless
Price of getting pulled over by the fuzz for doing 110 in a 55 while beating the vr4 ... $168
mmm .. tastes like chicken!
worst thing about it, he ducked off at the exit, and i was a good boy and pulled off to the side and i ended up with the ticket

$168??? I live in Pennsylvania, and I'm sure the fine would have been MUCH more, also I'd lose my license and I'd have taken a ride in a police car. How many points does 55mph over the speed limit get you in CA???????

Re: Thanksgiving driving horror stories (Geijn)

Boston to Carlisle PA Went down friday I decided to skip the tap and do 90 to 84 to 81 teh northren pa route. I like to drive when its crappy out and real late at night keeps my attention on the road and no cars are out. So I get off on friday after an 11 hour day at work. get to the apartment and Thie girl I was with Insisted on a Salmon dinner. I said no but you know how that is. So i try to catch a nap before i leave 12:00. SHE SAT AND TALKED ABOUT EVERY MOVIE SHE HAS EVER SEEN! i wanted to kill her No sleep I drove down. Got to house in Pa at 7:00 said screw wking up my dog and parents, crawled in the back seat and slept for 2 hours. That was going down. Comming back Well Left there at 11 30 it was pissing rain and real foggy. Someplaces in Scranton were 30 MPH due to the fog. I started to fall asleep and pulled over at the Brewster Restop for a 15 min nap. Well it turned into 30 and I was sore after that. Got to ct and stopped for gas and had to go wee wee real bad. Filled it up asked for the key. HAHHAHA SUPRISE WE DONT HAVE A BATHROOM. he said try denny's Piss on that its like 3 am. I said I would hold it till strubridge. Anyway I get into mass and going good then i hit some morning traffic. Pull into work and i went to the top parking lot. Cahanged my shirt and fell asleep for 15. then in I went at 7:30. I AM SOOOO TIRED! I WANT TO SLEEP I CANT TAKE THINS I MAY KILL.... AGAIN

Re: Thanksgiving driving horror stories (jayseal22)

my bf and I stopped by his parents house (which is ~100 miles away) during the evening, and we got too tired to drive home, so we spent the night. Got up the next morning at 5am so he could be to work by 8:30. I was driving so he could sleep...just cruising down I-5, this Saab goes past me in the right lane (I was in the middle cause of standing water in the right), then about 5 minutes later I see headlights spinning across all 3 lanes of highway in front of me (it was the Saab). I started braking hard, not knowing if he would bounce back onto the freeway (he hit the fence type divider in the median and spun to a stop in the grass).
Yeah, I probably SHOULD have stopped to make sure he was okay, but it was 6am in the middle of nowhere, no lights, and he was on the left side of the freeway where the shoulder is pretty much nil, unless you want to park on the grassy median.

Haha, yea, michigan is weird like that. It is kinda an automotive free for all. No emissions, no safety inspections, no inspections at all! drive where you want, left side, right side, hey, it doesnt matter.
I drove without a license plate for the past 3 months, and nobody was the wiser. I also occasionaly drive my new 81' Scirrocco race car on the street. (slicks, open side exit exhaust, etc..) and no-one cares, not too many people even look. It isnt any louder than the big V8's and straight-piped trucks we have...
