Indicated or verified? Your speedo can easily be off my 10 mph at that speed.

Indicated, I am sure it was off. But I know for a fact that car has alot more pull in it then sub 120mph. Mine in particular was an 88, and they list the curb weight as 2400+ lbs, this indeed is not accurate, I had mine weighed around 2280lbs.

A Honda product is number one in a C&D comparison test. Such a surprise.

Man, I had forgotten how good C&D once was. I remember being impressed with the Sunbird's scorching 120mph top end. The Integra really was in a class of it's own in those days. Sooo smooth compared to the rest.

Spoken like someone with zero experience with these cars.

The Pontiac Sunbird is downright quick.
Pretty darn respectable even by today's standards.

The VW GTI will always dominate in my eyes. I don't care if it isn't the quickest, but 20 years later, it's still alive and kicking.

Amazing how everything looks so dated compared to the Integra. That car was way ahead of it's time, looking back at its competition at the time.. Late 80's Honda/Acura's were great cars!! I miss mine!

One of my favorite C&D comparison tests. These are the cars I dreamed about in HS.
"Posing isn't the game designer breath. We're talking sandbagging-speaking softly and carrying a lead pipe. The GTI is such a wicked accomplice."
Love it! I miss the old C&D.
Here's a
to a simpler time.
Thanks for the blast from the past.

Great old article!
I understand the Acura love, but honestly, everything in that article looks like an appliance to me, except the beloved GTI. God, I miss my Bright Blue Metallic '89 16V.
