Sorry if this is a repost.
K&N makes an air intake for my A4, but I have never heard of anyone using it. Simply put, it is a filter, a u-bend and some zip-ties. The price is $101.00, which is the cheapest of all systems I have seen.
On the contrary, I think the price is still too high and I could go ahead and assemble my own intake from a mandrel bend, a filter and some hose clamps for half the price.
are you F-in serious? look at the big pic here http://www.kandn.com/images/l/57-0282.jpg
and you can see that "u bend" is just corrugated dryer vent tube. $100 bucks for shiznizzle you can duplicate at walmart for like $20
make your own. they don't even provide a MAF sensor bracket thingy
Is there any noticable difference between buy a CAI and Doing this---> http://forums.vwvortex.com/zer......Is there anyone who has done both that could shed some light to the topic. Im just wondering on if i should spend the money or if i could get as much out of it by just drilling some holes
depends, pros and cons between cutting holes in a stock air box or going with a cone...nah; between the carbonio and those options, i believe so...i'm sold. it's a better version of a part that's already solid. http://carbonio.com/a4/a4_b5_intake.php
