For $19,400 Canadian plus GST, you could be driving this:

Or if you had $28,500 to spend you could get a nicely modified one:

The 15 year old rule here in Canada lets all cars from '89 into the country. After searching through this importer site, http://driveit.clickspace.com/....html i found alot of interesting cars at reasonable prices. This is a big year for cars here in Canada because it's the first year of the '89 Skyline. Things just got a lot more interesting around here!

Well, they came out in model year 1990. But that means they were in production in the late summer of 1989.
A31 Cefiros came out about the same time... I know what I'd be buying.

Yes but motorrex never has any stock. These guys have stock available in Canada and Japan. They are gonna make a killing this year.

I think Motorex sells R32 GST about the same price here in the US.

Not even. Motorex wants a LOT for the R32 GSTs now that they've become all the rage--well over the $35K mark. The '89 V-Specs are going for as much as $55K.

That's the GT-R.
The R32 GTS-t runs about US$20k from them. They're not very popular. That's the 2.0L turbo RWD version.
This outfit here has R32 GTS-t's starting around CA$7k - US$4.5k. That's a steal.
Of course, some of these cars have minor damage, and some have some ghetto mods like this horrible baseball bat fender rolling job:

"Getting a ten-speed is easy. Filling it with illegal substances and taking it across the border is hard."
You could have a car shipped to Canada, then just drive it here.
But, it can't be registered in the US for another 10 years unless the full DOT/EPA conversion is performed.

Yet another reason to move to Canada--as if national healthcare wasn't enough.

Stay away, eh. More beer and moose burgers for me and the other eskimos.
Some days it's okay to be Canadian. Other days, the crippling taxes and meddling of umpteen tiers of gov't make life pretty sh1tty.

AKADriver is correct, the R32 GS-T are not as popular as the R32 GTR. I know somebody on NASIOC who sold their WRX and got a R32 GS-T used for $18k from Motorex.
They are cheaper because the 240SX is a better and cheaper alternative.

Peter Jennings who is a Canadian says that if his mother needs healthcare, he rather fly her into the US because he would've had to wait weeks to see a doctor as oppose to the US, you can get one today if you can pay.

Re: The JDM availability list for Canada.

My girlfriend is friends with one of the guys who runs that company. They're based here in Calgary. He drives an old Skyline - I don't know enough about Skylines to know what year it is but it is right hand drive (obviously). I did a double take the first time I saw it, when I didn't know about their importing ventures.
