The only thing missing from the keyless.gkevin.com faq is whether or not to do all this with the battery connected or not . Can anybody (golfSPORT95 or JimGTIVR6) fill me in?

I would always do this type of thing with the battery disconnected....you probally do not need it, but it is the safe bet when poking around under the dashboard....

That was my thought, but I don't have my damn radio code, and my dealer will charge me $30 to look it up. Anybody have a dealer that will do code lookups for free?

disconnect to be safe, but leaving it connected the chances are pretty good that you wont fook it up
