Raxles has updated their RaxKrieg Axles for our cars. i received my set Friday and installed them Saturday. this version uses the same proven inner CV as the previous but with a totally different outer CV and a larger shaft diameter at the outer CV. The previous design used OEM strength outer CV's because there was no other option at the time. Raxles went to work and had these outer CV's custom built for our applications. the pictures below show the size difference:

here is a pic of the drivers side OEM vs. Raxles:

picture of outer CV's of the latest Raxle, OEM, and previous gen Raxle:

i have gone for several drives since the install and i have had NO vibrations, no popping, nothing! Retail price is $699 pair. current RaxKrieg owners can upgrade for $200 but you MUST return the original versions.
fyi,
matt

I am still stock too. Perhaps I got the rare 'unobtainium' ones from the factory:)...Good to know there is an option though, should the need arise.

It's strange why some break and some don't, BillyT, Nick K, quite a few guys who go to the track alot have had good luck. I broke one when just chipped so I've been leary ever since.

haha... i wish... no im just obsessed with my car and i spend all of my money on it... i keep a few dollars in a seperate account for "just incase" situations... aka rainy day..
but then there is the car account... cant touch the "just incase" account...
all personal endevors come from the car account... hen i think about the car and its like "ehhh ill just stay home and make some kraft mac and cheese instead of hanging out with everyone"

who knows why some cars break axles and other don't. littlep drag races with DR's putting down the same hp and tq as me but is still running OEM. Krautfed drags all the time and is still running OEM, however i would like to point out that it was Krautfed that broke mine this time around..

big http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif to Marty at Raxles for all his efforts and can't forget Dewayne for the assembly.

Re: the latest Raxles (FreeStage3)

I think it's the hopping that gets them. If you can get rid of the hop, the stock axles are pretty good to a certain point. Doesn't hurt to upgrade them when going to a bigger turbo. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Your new axles look great by the way, beefy!

Dewayne for the assembly.

Dewayne needs to get slapped...... theres no clip on the outer CVs to the axles. We were doing the suspension on sykteks car the other day and the whole thing came apart...... CV grease all over me, I hate that ****!!!!
