the rattle that my exhuast makes as it hits the heat shield......

I just read this comment made by ntrldub in the "Whats your favorite thing about your car??" post. Can you describe this rattle? When do you get it? What does it sound like? I am experiencing a rumble that I am having trouble placing. For me, it happens when I'm accelerating, usually at lower rpms, although I have noticed it when I hit higher rpms if I'm driving a bit more aggressively. The problem is that I can't reproduce it. It seems to happen rather randomly and go away after about 5-10 minutes of driving (never long enough to get to the dealer to show them!). I thought it might be related to cold weather, but no such luck. I've done searches here and haven't been able to find anything similar. I definately sounds like an exhaust noise. The dealer looked at it during my last service, and couldn't reproduce it (of course), but they looked at the exhaust and couldn't find any problems.
Anyway, just wondering if this is the same noise? Anyone have any ideas?

OHHH YEAH
same noise i had
easily fixed
your exhaust is sitting up against the heat shield underneath your car- get under there and just push your exhaust away from it an inch or so and the noise will miraculously go away..... it may come back.
I have heard that people have affixed a super high temp foam to the inside of their heat shield preventing it from making any further noise... but I am not sure where to get it--- I would love to know though
