I get at LEAST 4-10 emails and IMs a week about this, so Ill just start directing people here.
The VWVortex is ONE of MANY sites run by the Vortex Media Group.
4 of them have shared databases. VWVortex, Mwerks, Speedarena and Triplezoom. The shared databases consist of
The User Database. If you have a Vortex ID, it works on all 4 of those sites.
the ENTIRE COMMUNITY forums. (Car Lounge, et al)
the ENTIRE Help and Suggestions forums. (Suggestion box, Help forum)

Speedarena's forums are globally shared on the forums too. Those are the racing forums you see at the main page.
Triplezoom is the new Mazda site
Mwerks is the BMW site
and VWVortex is... well its the VW site

It's because the person replying to the topic is posting from Mwerks.

well, this explains the worshipping of the e30, e36 m3, and new mazda 3 and 6 that goes on in the car lounge!

This isnt official word from me at all, but I THINK Swedespeed (the Volvo site) and Subdriven (the Subaru site) will be combined with the database soon.
Dont take my word on in though. I just think thats in the plans.

OK, heres one. Why does MWerks feel so deserted? There are practically no threads going on in any of the BWM model subforums.
If MWerks was an old texan town, there'd be tumbleweed rolling around...

I figured it out a while ago with some of the cross-posts that linked to other threads that were on triplezoom and such. But all the other forums fonts just look wrong when compared to vortex..
