i like that...what kind of paint did you use (high heat black paint???) and what part did you paint? you didnt paint any part of the outer lense that you took off,correct?

If I were you i'd go to the junkyard and pick up an extra set. I heard the MK3 lights are pretty tough to crack open and the glass tends to break.

i had everything ready to try it ut after doing the same to my fogs decided that buying ecodes was just easier. plus ecodes give better light output and give you city lights

get yourself some side marker assemballies, and then drill a hole into the buttom of your headlight and then you have city lights.
