Thinking of new wheels (yet another rim poll!)

I want new rims and SuperLeggeras will be. I am undecided on the size. Please pick a size, and if you pick 17x8s please comment on what tire size to go with. If I go with 18x8s I will be using 225/40/18 as I do with my Trophys now. If I go with 17s I want to increase the comfort.

go with 18's...looks really good.
i'm running 18's on 225-40-18 and sitting on eibach sportline 2" drop and i dont find the ride that harsh.
oh yeah....good choice on wheels...i would've got those if i had the extra cash.
Re: Thinking of new wheels (ROCKRLR)

Get 18x8 with 225-40-18 Pirelli P7000. The P7000's have a nice rounded shoulder which offer a softer ride as opposed to tires that are square. I had them and they weren't too bad...

Since you live in Florida I say get the 18's. If you were in the NE or Canada then I'd say get the 17's.
And damn, everyone and their mother is getting the Superleggerra's nowadays. Guess everone's read my mind

Hey Rockrlr,
A few questions for ya:
How do you like the HR Sports?
Did you need a new front swaybar?
What dampers are you using?
Are you going to the 1552 Show?
Take Care.
C

Yo man, i have OZ SL 8 x 17", nice ride comfort - 18's will beat you and your car and your gf to death. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Thinking of new wheels (Darkdub)

I have 18s now, and I dont like the ride much!
Re: Thinking of new wheels (ROCKRLR)

18's are nice and all...but not very practical...makes you more succeptible to bending a wheel...the tires are expensive as hell...and as stated above, the rough ride doesn't impress the ladies much!
just my 0.2

I love the drop! I did need a new fsb, there was some rubbing in the right drive shaft. I have Bilsteins sports, and I am going to Winter Treffen!

Re: Thinking of new wheels (ROCKRLR)

Someone took the poll out of my thread. Smells like a job done by certain thread locker moderator...
Anyhow, I decided to go 17s. Tires ordered, rims I pickup locally.
Re: Thinking of new wheels (NeoJetta)
