So I've been thinking about buying some cheap wheels to go on my dark teal metallic jetta. I can get this set for 600 without tires. Has anyone tried these wheels? or anything similar. I'm on a budget with college and whatnot.

Total "Out the Door" Price $606.00
What do you guys think. Got any other wheels in mind that I can get for $600 shipped? Would these look decent on my jetta (not lowered).
Edit :: Maybe these?

Two questions you are not asking are these:
The weight and the construction.
For the money ($84) you can't beat the Sport Edition D5's from the Tire Rack.

These wheels are relatively light weight:
-15.5 lbs for a 15"
They are also manufactured using more advanced techniques than many others:
-Low pressure (not gravity) cast and are shot peened.
They aren't the best looking wheels out there, but they are a great buy.
Whatever you decide on, don't buy a wheel unless you know how much it weighs.

Not feeling those. I liked the Superturismo's but apparently there are "under 3 in stock"
These look similar and are nice:

Edit :: I still have no idea if the offset, size and all that would work on my car. It's not lowered but I would like to lower it slightly, not too much. I would also like them to fit in the fenders nicely.
Oh and those last wheels with tires, shipped are around $1100. I guess when you add it all up, new wheels and tires will always cost 1k+ with shipping to Canada. Looks more and more like I'll be checking the used market out.

Re: Thinking of some cheap wheels (CodeMan)

Those aren't bad, but in the end it'll cost me almost $1200. For that price I would get other wheels + tires that I like better. http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif
Big thanks for the help by everyone. I had never heard of that website.

Maybe not the prettiest, but at 13 pounds and stong enough for seasnons of road racing.... Strength vs wieght vs cost.. it's hard to argue with them if you are like me and 'cosmetics' are a secondary thing so long as there is a consistent effective finish on what every it is.
