Yeah, he lives down near Glen Burnie (I think) but is in the Coast Guard and is stationed out here. Guess he can get away with the Oregon tags as long as he's in the service. I think the lightest he's gotten it (IDRC legal weight) is like ~2300lbs. Search for 95GLX and you'll see his posts. Great guy, nice car.

Re: This is one cool VW! Props! (Curb Feeler)

Hey everyone- that is me!
I am surprised you guys found the little profile on the NHRA site already. It just went on Yesterday 11/28/01. I was even more surprised when I opened this thread and saw that it was about me, not what I was expecting.
Anyway, thanks for all the comments. I had the profile put up as I am trying to attract larger sponsors for the 2002 and 2003 seasons. I have a lot of things I need to do to the car and it will require a lot of money of which I don't have. My plans are to start out in the 11's next year and end up in the 10's before the end of the season. If you want to play around with a drag calculator then here is a link to it. It is kind of fun dreaming of what could be:

Oh yeah, as far as the "Welcome to last Week" post. I am not sure what you mean by that, care explaining yourself? If it is what I think it is then why don't you show us what the "New Week" brings? I am sure we would all be interested in what you have done with a 2.8L with 187,000 miles on it with an extremely limited Military budget on a car you have to drive everyday.
I purchased the Car in Oregon when I was stationed there. I like the tags so I am keeping them as long as I can. I think it is kind of fitting since I feel I have blazed some new trails myself as the original Oregon settlers had to do.
Anthony
