This is one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. It's what
happens when people are too smart for their own good; too callous to really
care; and have entirely too much time on their hands. I laughed my way
through the entire thing! These guys are NUTS!

We had a brand new rented Escort 1.6 SI (european model) when I was inthe army. First thing we tried out was the rpm limiter

Anyways, moral of the story: Dont buy a 2nd hand rental car!

I remember my last fun-with-rental-car episode. It involved a couple concrete parking blocks, the rev limiter, reverse, a two mile long stretch of road.....and the parking brake.
I actually did get questioned about the suddenly poor tire wear and the warped rotors.

I bet Dodge is thrilled that their Neon engine can handle a 150 shot without blowing!

Maybe we'll see it in an ad campaign someday (ok, maybe not).

I did the same exact thing to a geo-metro i had rented when i wrecked my gti.... It made the car suprisingly fast! Only ran a 50 shot... But it still i think doubled the output!

How much are we talking about for the equipment mentioned in this article? 10 lbs bottle of N2O, braided hose, electric fuel pump, two injectors, nitrous and fuel solenoids, etc.?

Collision Damage Waiver.

Can't tell you how many times that's saved me and my friends...
I even ended up with a Land Rover Disco once as a rental car. Can't tell you all the places that went in the 5 days I had it...
