I remember speaking to Jamie at H2O4 about the 132kw Golf GTI, or what will be the Driver's Edition GTI here, and I know that there some things that have to be omitted due to DOT regulations. One of those things in question was the Recaro seats, the rear ones to be more specific.
Since the NA spec Golfs (and GTIs) were not tested in the States with three headrests and no center armrest, VWoA might not be able to bring the Driver's Edition GTI here with the rear seats as many of us have seen it:

However, as I understand it, the rear seats in all the Euro-spec models (with the Recaro seats) are offered with 2 options: the center headrest, as well as the armrest. In other words they are offered as follows:
1) 2 headrests, center lapbelt, center armrest.
2) 3 headrests, center lapbelt, center armrest.
3) 3 headrests, center 3 point seatbelt, center armrest.
4) 2 headrests, center lap belt, no center armrest.
5) 3 headrests, center lapbelt, no center armrest.
6) 3 headrests, center 3 point seatbelt, no center armrest.
I think I got everything...
The one that should pique everyone's interest is the last combination, which is basically the same as how the NA spec seats come, except they will look like the ones in the photo.
The point is that the 132kw Golf GTI interior might actually make it here to the States unchanged in appearance, save for the rear center armrest.
Just another step in preserving the original thing in my opinion...
Edit: lots of typos!
