For this week’s #ThrowbackThursday, we’re reaching back over a decade to 2001. The first RS-car produced by quattro GmbH was on the market and making waves with its 375 bhp Cosworth-tuned 2.7-liter biturbo V6 and wagon-only body configuration. quattro GmbH went even further by introducing the RS 4 Sport at the Essen Motor Show in late 2000.
Essentially the RS 4 Sport was an edgier take on the already edgy RS 4 Avant, with more aggressive brakes, exhaust, tires, seats and yards of Alcantara. We’ve translated a sales brochure we picked up at some point that year and are printing it below. Included in this for posterity is the price list both in the newly minted Euro (EUR) and the still-in-use-at-the-time Deutsche Mark (DM).
Read it and more pics after the jump.
