Throwing a misfire code.

Hey everyone, I have had a CEL on for a little bit now, and I just had it read and it seems to be a misfire. The car has felt a little bit sluggish lately, but I was thinking it was because of the Arizona heat.
What I am thinking is if I go with a colder plug, because I am reflashed, that the code should go away. Any input?

clear the code and if it happens again get it checked out. i had a misfire in cyl 3 awhile ago, but it was a random occurrence and havnt had another one.

your coil pack could be the source of the problem. if its sonstantly in the same cylinder swap that out before the plugs.
I cleared the code and it came back a few hours later. I also plan on replacing the plugs for some coolder ones no matter what the problem is.

Is the misfire in the same cylindar each time?
If so, try the following and see if the misfire follows the change:
Swap your coil packs - test
Swap your spark plugs - test
Swap your injectors - test
If its still misfiring at this point, and if you still have a warranty, I'd take it to the dealer.

The code reader my friend has isnt complex enough to tell which cylinder is misfiring. And I am going to be setting up a service appointment sometime this week. But I'll try swapping the spark plugs around and see if that accomplishes anything.

w/o a good reader, it's not going to tell you anything.
I'd just take it to the dealership if you cant get your hands on a vag-com.
