Do I need to have them done by a licensed mechanic to keep up with warranty???

I change mine to the Bosch platinum 4 plugs and they run fine.
No warranty problems, just marked it doewn in the book.

I replaced the plugs in my V6 in February with Bosch platinum plus 4 from GermanAutoParts. It was not a difficult job except for the rearmost plug on each side. Fortunately I had the tools (swivels and several extensions) to get it done.
