The previous owner of my 97 JIII TDI had the belt replaced at 65,000 miles. Is there a possibility that he had the 80k belt installed or is that belt not available for the early 1.9's? I have the receipt for the belt replacement, is there a way I can tell from the belt part number?

Thats what I figured, somewhere else I read...maybe TDICLUB, that you couldn't do it on the A3 TDI's, only the A4.
