I played around with my timing yesterday and got decent results, but I have a question about the timing mark. I wanted to set the timing to 8 degrees but I'm not sure how many "notches" that is. The bentley shows that the one all the way to the right is 0 but doesn't show any other degrees. Anyone know how to use it? Thanks.

Re: timing mark question (Keving60)

i remember reading that one tooth on the timing cog = 8 deg.. i.e. if youre off by a tooth, youre off by 8 deg. But who knows if the person who wrote it knew what they were talking about
That Might have been for the cam pulley though, sorry-

Re: timing mark question (Keving60)

the 0 indicates TDC on the flywheel. the notch shaped like it was put in my an axe is 6 degrees BTDC. get a timing light that has a function for advancing the timing and use it with the 0 mark
