Re: Tint Removal Question... (Einz komma acht T)

i peeled back a corner and then carefully peeled it all off in one piece. If youre careful you can minimize the glue left on the window. I got rid of the glue still on the window by scrubbing with "Goof off" (NOT Goo Gone) and a rag. Worked well, defrost lines all still work great. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif Def Would like to know what that product is called.
I heard there some shops that get it off fine. I just dont want to chance it taking it to them. I have more patients since it my car and I care about it. I need my defroster lines, I hate when it get foggy and you cant see out the back window.

If the tint is fairly new then it should peel off in almost one piece.
I found a hair dryer works good.

a hair dryer helps, but not a ton....the SLOWER you peel, the less glue will be left on the window...its possible to leave no glue at all, if your willing to pull for an hour....the slower the better, that is if the tint is of decent quality.

i hear ammonia and heat will speed the process up.
I used a razorblade and goo gone on mine - you dont need the razor if your going to put in some elbow grease with a rag.
