recently I tinted the orange section on my taillights to red and it turned out awesome. Cant even tell the difference!
I want to tint my front turn signals so they look clear. Anyone done this?
If so what color do I use?
thanks

Re: tinting lenses (VWVento67)

I have no idea how you can tint a turn signal to make it clear.
You could either make your own out of one of those flourecent lighting covers or just buy some clear ones.
BTW, I did my tails all-red too. What did you use? I used Testors Candy Apple Red.

Re: tinting lenses (rabbitmania)

On that white 2 door Jetta that is totlaly sweet...........the one that was in an accident...it had clears on the front and I think he painted his.
I used Testors candy apple red transparent.......
Looks awesome and totally matches the red part of my stock Jetta taillights.
Try it out.....just take your time

Re: tinting lenses (A1pocketrocket)

buy some testors candy apple red translucent spray paint (used for models and hobby stuff)
Clean and mask off your taillights and spray the outside. Use alot of time and thin even coats. You can even use a clear coat over top if you want.
Good luck

yes, clear coat is a must, the translucent paint is not very resistant to the elements and will fade if not protected, on the color of the paint, if you want the amber color to match perfect with the surrounding red area use the purpl/red, when applied on yellow turns red.
