Too Keep or Not to Keep, that is the question...

786 Views 12 Replies 12 Participants Last post by  Mizzy
As I was lookign at my car the other day, the thought crossed my mind of changin my wheels. These are currently what I have:

I was debating either to keep them and lower my car to compensate for the wheel gap on 16" wheels, to upgrade to 17" wheels and lower a bit, or to just go with 18" wheels. What do you guys think?

Damn it
; I didnt get to finish the choices........just reply with what you think

upgrade to 17 or 18 for street driving.
keep 2 of those 16s and send the other 2 to me so i can have some drag rims

Dude, changing the size of the wheels does nothing for the wheel gap. If you do it correctly the overall diameter/circumference of the 16's is the same as the 17's or 18's. The only thing that changes is the wheel diameter and the sidewall height. As the wheel gets bigger the sidewall gets shorter. Gap stays the same.

upgrade and give me those wheels!!!!!!!!

Keep the wheels. Believe me, those wheels look real good on a lowered Jetta. Lowering the car makes a big difference.

I say lower it first and see how you like it, if you still don't like the wheels then get 17's 5 spoke that come witht he GTI se below: If you change the wheels I got asn mk2 that will look nice with those webs.

My solution till I can afford the rims I seek.
coilovers where already done with a 2" drop:

And then I got real tires.
