I think it's because there is not a whole lot you can do to a VR6 for under a grand. Off the top of head (which is pretty thin) I can only think of a few things you can do: FI, Head work, exhaust, big bore, perf intake, lightened fly, underdrive pulleys. Well I guess I could think more than a few, but still over half of those are bolt ons any shop can do and the other half are things you about have to pull engine. Does this make any sense? I don't know
Thought I'd throw it out there and let someone tear it up. I hear your beef though.
yeah, its gonna be all about the few bolt ons like intake, exhaust, if you can find a header..... then its all about engine work like PnP, Shrick VGI intake manifold, bore, cams, and some tranny work
what do you guys think about a big valve conversion? my bro had it done to his and he likes it. as of right now i have schrick vgi and 268's, GIAC chip, neuspeed wires, remus exhaust which needs to be replaced, k&n, and a soon to installed t-body. im not too sure where i wanna go with her and that may be part of my problem.
