Re: Toyota Tundra StepSide (bgluckman)

Great looking, but hard to justify if you need a truck for ummm...trucking purposes. Take an already small cargo space and shrink it some more......

Re: Toyota Tundra StepSide (bgluckman)

I was surprised to see a StepSide Tacoma last night, as we originally didn't get these in Canada. It had the TRD off-road package, and I thought it looked awesome. When I saw the press release for the StepSide Tundra, I thought it would look similar. Too bad it is so horrid.

Re: Toyota Tundra StepSide (Sporin)

Interior is very nice. I don't care for the outside. The taillights show that nasty trend in all Toyota's right now, huge shapeless taillights that spread all over the place. Ugly.

Gussied up? Yes. That's because the Tundra is for people who don't use their truck as a work-truck. In my mind the Tundra always has been a 7/8 size truck, despite the "full-size" notion that most people have. Can't remember the last time I saw a contractor step out of his Tundra, or the Tundra chassis used as a basis for a small bus/limo. Nice fake wood though!
Maybe this would position well against the Dakota R/T 5.9?
