I had to register just to let you know that the toaster belongs to Dennis at http://www.dpcars.net
He was probably scaring some Porsche owners with that underpowered lunchbox, but you may want to take the time to visit his site and see what he is all about. For a CL'er I can promise you it will be worth your time.

He was probably scaring some Porsche owners with that underpowered lunchbox, but you may want to take the time to visit his site and see what he is all about. For a CL'er I can promise you it will be worth your time.

I would hate to have to come flying up behind an XB, there should be a power---> weight requirement to bringing certain vehicle out to these events.

That's some interesting analysis on the latest page (comparing his and Tracy's times) and demonstrates how much time can be gained with full braking. What's a typical lap time for an 'actual high-performance' car (for him in the Elise he mentioned he's about 12 seconds faster)?
I seriously need to devote much more time to track events ... but have to prep the miata first (get a suitable roll-bar) ... sigh.

Awesome cars, really like that e30 M3. Also, a track day is just that, a track day. If I plunked down loot to whip around a track, and an Xb was slowing me down, I would be a bit annoyed

i disagree, going fast in something like an xb means you are constantly on the edge, or at least caressing it in the turns

Exactly. It's so much better then seeing the poser in his 911/Ferrarri/Lambo who can afford the car, but does not want to go fast in the turns, steps on it in the straights, and does not let other cars pass them.
