Had a similar incident on my '93 Eurovan with a 098 auto transmission. There is a round multipin connector that plugs into the front of the trans from the top, just to the left side of where the dipstick tube goes in. Mine got filled with water when I degreased and cleaned the engine. If you pull the connector and leave it overnight to dry out, then plug it back in you might be ok. You could also use a hot air gun, or brake cleaned to cleanit and dry it out. Good luck, Chuck.
