Re: trivia! thread (my 2.0 rocket)

First car with airbags: 1974 Oldsmobile Toronado.
Here's one I recently gave the answer to in another thread: what is the significance of the badge on the front of first-generation Infiniti Q45s?

What was the first car to have a tilt, and slide sunroof?

1972 Ford Granada.
And while all Infinitis wear the pointed emblem that supposedly represents Mt. Fuji, the Q45 had a different badge than any other Infiniti ever produced, where the emblem was overlaid on something else. That's what I'm looking for.

Um, you'd be wrong for several reasons:
Reason 1) http://www.webasto.com/company/en/3151.html
Reason 2) The RX7 wasn't even introduced till the mid-70s--several years after the Granada.
Here's another question while you folks are working on that Infiniti one: what was the first car to wear the Porsche name, when was it built, and why was it significant?

Sliding sunroofs long predate the 70s. But tilt and sliding ones don't.

Lohner-Porsche circa 1900, let me try to find a pic (it was the fastest car at the time I believe)

I'm still going with the Grenada here since it predates the RX7 by a good six years.

I agree with you, the Granada got this roof in 1972, while the first RX7 was introduced for 1979
