i looked at motor trend, car and driver online, and nuthin... just some blurbs. {eople have told me before "Oh what!! That new mini cooper S is gonna be sick , I want one, and i'm like, huh? how could you say that? i'm thinkin it has no ballz...
but now, i've read a few times, even on this board that the S model might have some umph...
could somone post some specs, or give me a link to where I can find out more on this car???
If people are debating if they should get a mini cooper S or a gti, I thnk its worth a look at.......

I've been constantly talking to my mini dealer cause I am on the first 5 names on the waiting list. From what he told me, the Cooper S won't be out till later of the year while the Cooper will be out some time in March.

The Mini dealers are simply selected BMW dealers which you can find out at the Mini home page.
MSRP for Mini Cooper is around USD 18000 (I suspect they will mark this up if the demand is to big)
MSRP for Cooper S is USD 21500.

I saw it up at the 2002 BMW show two weeks ago at the Spartenburg BMW plant. It was pretty cool. Funniest thing, the dealer who brought it couldn't figure out how to pop the hood. Turns out it was under the passenger side dash. Go figure

I don't like how the headlights are built into the hood, though. And the tachs! Could they get any bigger? Sweet deal, though. Took pics. I'll post when I get sec.
