I have a 2014 Jetta, 1.8 tsi, 105,000 miles. I’m going crazy trying to solve a few issues. According to my obd11 my camshaft adjustment intake bank 1 will not return to the 10% that I believe it should. It seems to stay around 40% give or take a few percent. Car has recently had a timing chain and tensioner replacement, I have also replaced the magnetic camshaft adjuster. The car has a terrible random misfire at idle, across all 4 cylinders. It also has a miss or surge right around 2000rpm. Have replaced plugs and coil packs as well and recently did a carbon clean. Car actually runs very strong other than the 2000rpm surge.
I’m thinking about replacing the camshaft adjuster solenoid even though mine seems to function fine when I remove it. Also considering the Oil separator as I read they can cause the random misfire.

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

I read in another thread someone replaced their throttle body to remedy the 2000rpm issue.
