Will the TT system for A1 16v conversions work temporarily with 1.7l? I need an exhaust ASAP but I'll be doing a 16v conversion in the near future.

Ofcourse it'll work(we're talking the 2.25 right?) you'll just loose some low end is all..

You should call Techtonics. I think the A1 16v exhaust is all 2 1/4". The 8v 2 1/4" is 2" before the Resonator. If you have a cat or dual downpipe the flange or pipe is only 2".
