Hi all,
Just trying to install a TT Pedal set in my 2001 GTI, and the size of the footplate is different... Is this the case???
Can someone point me to a pic or two showing the final look once installed(close-up).
Also, do I have to pull off the side kick-plate to do this?
Thanks,
Kev

Re: TT Footplate different compaired to golf? (ZoomZoom)

I pulled off that trim piece...it was much easier to get it in. I then sold my dead pedal after I saw the turbo beetle s dead pedal, which I will get whenever the parts department can get the damn part number. The TT dp is a little bit smaller.

The dead pedal fits perfectly, but it takes some serious muscle to get it on.
No, don't remove the kick panel. Get it loose at the bottom then you have
to bend and flex it into place in the pedal. Then push the pedal into
position. This is what the directions say anyhow. It worked for me. But
not without some struggle.
I think I've still got Potter's directions.
I'll look for them. Mikie

Everyone will tell you to do this mod differently. Just do a search by creator and put in my name and it will give you five or six different ways to do it. It's a royal pain but it will go in, good luck
