Re: TT pedals (Silver GLS 1.8T)

Very very easy, it just takes a bit of strength. You take the pedal covers off the brake and clutch pedals, then slip the Audi TT pedal covers on. The throttle pedal has no cover, so just clean the pedal, and slip the cover on. If it's cold when you install them, soak the TT pedals in warm water to make the rubber more pliable. Some WD 40 also helps with getting the nubs on the clutch/brake pedals into place.

Re: TT pedals (roadsleeper)

I've installed 3 sets of these, including my own car.
The first time took about a good 30 minutes. The rubber is pretty stiff and they were sitting in a basement for a good month at 55 degrees. The second time I used a hair dryer to heat the rubber behind the aluminum. Pedals were on in less than five minutes after that.

quote:

So the TT pedals are simply covers which fit over the stock ones??

You take off the stock clutch and brake pedal cover(rubber) and under neith is a plastic or metal plate(depending on the pedal) that the TT Pedal slides over. This is one of the easiest installs ever. I installed mine durring a snow storm! (can u tell i was excited to get them)

Re: TT pedals (vertigobora)

I can't use the pedal set as the brake pedal is the wrong size, but I sat in a TT at the local auto show to see if there was more grip on the sole of my shoe to see if putting in a TT dead pedal was a good idea. I'm satisfied that there is, and I'll be buying a pedal set if there's ever one available for the different automatic brake pedal. I know the pedal itself can be changed, but that's a bit much for me to do right now.
I'd go with the Pottermans -- they come highly recommended, and I'll be buying mine from them, along with several other items.

Re: TT pedals (Buran)

I got a set of these as a birthday present from my GF recently.
I had read that the throttle pedal had no cover, but mine certainly did, no problem once I figured that out though.
I found it quite a pain to get the brake cover on, as getting the lip around the edge on, and the locking piece in the middle to all go on together was quite tricky.
Plus, it started raining part was through and the inside of the car got somewhat damp.
The covers were obtained from an Audi dealer, they were just under £20 for the three (about $30). Didn't do the dead pedal yet as on my RHD car it looks a bit different and I'm not sure it will fit yet.

yeah, mine went on like cake, the little nubby part on the brake was tough to lock in place. a small squirt of WD-40 slipped it right in. I like them, good mod for short $$
