Re: tt power module instillation (VWtub)

The connectors go to the coolant temperature sensor (the white connector on the side of the block if you're putting it on a 16V); one of them plugs into the sensor, the other plugs into the connector normally attached to the sensor, they can only go on one way round so you can't make a mistake. One of the two loose wires goes to the WOT switch(the violet wire going to the switches on the throttle body ) using a splice or tap; the other goes to a convenient ground. I don't know which is which because I built my own but I don't believe it matters. As originally supplied, one of the leads has a ring connector which is the one which goes to ground. One test would be to check the resistance both ways to see if there is a difference; the polarity to use will be that with the higher resistance. Failing that, ask someone who has one or check the TT website (www.tttuning.com) for instructions.

Re: tt power module instillation (SauerKraut)

<Opens trusty Bentley manual, goes to Fuel System-Gasoline-Figures 6-20 and 6-21> Go to the distributor end of the engine, to the head below the head coolant outlet hose. There are two clip-on connectors going into the head; the one closer to the front of the car (white) is the coolant temperature sensor, the one behind it (brown) is the thermo-time switch.
