Turbo Honduh vs Turbo VW
HOw much HP are those Honduh's getting with 18 PSi ..
I am planning on building a 2.0 3A Turbo with my CIS injection from an 84 GTI into my 82 caddy. I am planning on running about 10 PSI MAX .. will i be able to keep up with those rice cookers if they had a turbo?
I am planning in building a turbo really soon. I have gathered enough information to build a sufficient turbo setup for up to 10 PSI Max..
I'm realizing more hondas on the streets are running turbos. I would hate to see a turbo honda pass me once my turbo is done
I know there will be always some rich dude with a crazy turbo but that won't come too often.
What can i do to destroy the typical Turbo rice cookers with my VW PICKUP ? IF i need more boost then fine but how do i lower the compression on a 2 liter without spending too much money? What does it cost to machine a piston down to lower copmpression?
I am on a budget but yet my objective is to murder those turbo rice cooker with my caddy.
Anyone want to share some tips for this WAR?

Sorry to tell you this but hondas vtec heads are so much better that they make way more power per psi of boost than a VW 8v head. Example: 1.6l b16a vtec 6psi,,,[email protected] the wheels no intercooled with a 60 trim t/3....I have a t/3 super60.Running 7psi intercooled my best run was 180hp to the wheels. Vw heads are no comparison. Darn i hate that.

Yes they make more per PSI,but how much can you get from a stock honda motor?Ha I thought so!Take any vacume advance dist motor,and crank up the boost with a G60 injection,and you'll have the same hp level on a beer budget.I'm doing it as we speak(I'm cheating and using a G60 motor,but the low comp 8v is damm near as capable).I should stop here or all the G60 guys will cry like babies

they are all different but this is my buddy's...1.6 vtec made 382whp @ 18psi...this thing only weighs 2000 lbs also..it's a fun car..

Hey Eddie! I think I may have seen that car on South Hill! I remember that it was about that color of blue, hatch (or CRX), with an IC poking out of the bumber cover. Not sure about the Subie hood scoop

kelly..that car used to be red and was a hunk of crap..he tore it down and redid everything..he used to work at car toys now at speedline doin there motor and turbo work...if you see him on the road give him a run..it will be worth your time

I already know the ballpark figure you're aiming for so keep your head high and stay with that original quote of nothing higher than 10psi if you can
