Turbo Timer?

Do you need a turbo timer if you have a 1.8T? I read somewhere that the new turbos (not sure which ones) are pretty much all cooled down by the time you park...I'm not sure how accurate this is, and I'm still looking for that site again. Do you need a turbo timer, and which one is a good one to get? Thanx!!!

this has been beaten to death here... use the search to find other threads regarding this issue...
a lot of people say that letting it idle about 1 minute after parking is good enuff...

Yes, that is good enough, but IMO a hassle. The reason I got I a TT is so when I got wherever I was going, I could get out of the car, set the alarm, and know that everything is taken care of. I would recommend the Greddy TT, it matches the matte finish and the red dash lights.

$75, brand new in box for the timer itself. Local shops here in Texas want anywhere from $1100 to $150 for install because it has to be hardwired.
