.....Do I take them out? I can't firgure it out w/out getting frustrated, and I can never work on the car w/ any light out (I always forget until night), so I can't see much... does anyone know off hand how to change the bulbs?
BTW... small bumper, 88 golf. We're talking the front bumper signals here. The Bentley manual shows a picture of the lens getting unscrewed... I can detect no screws

Some of the earlier model small bumper turn signals screw in from the back of the bumper. Try going up from the bottom with a flash light, you should see a screw on one of the signal, you should also be able to get the bulb out without removing the light. The later small bump signals screw in from the front.

reach up behind the bumper and the bulb holder unscrews kinda out of the lense housing. They are rather simple once you figure it out hardest part is getting your hand up in there lol

aaa... just rip the bumper off.

You should be able to get the bulbs out without removing anything, you just have to wiggle your hand up inside there.

yeah dude its behind the bumper.. lay on your back with a flash light.. look at the back of the bump

you may have to take off the lower grille to give you a little more room.. its a PITA the first time and then its like ... ohhh I get it http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I feel ya on the night thing.. I used to take night class' so I did all my moding at like 4am

Thanks gents, finally got the little bastard. I hear ya H2o, i was trying for like 5 minutes then it finally twisted out and i was like "ohhhhhh". LOL, now i'm off to kragen, hopefully it's still open.

some reason I replaced mine and it still blinks fast some times on the right side

oh well.. guess fast blinker = faster turning right?
