I recently bought a 93 Passat GLS. The previous owner had the car sitting for close to a month. With the weather being really hot, the lining on the interior of the car started to separate from the roof. I have temporarily "stapled" the cloth lining, as the more the wind blows inside the car while the windows are down, the more it seprates.
Is it possible to replace the roof with with something other than cloth?
Secondly, I replaced the steering pump on this car, but notice the steering is still really stiff when turning at very low speeds (ie. parking). Is there anyway to improve this?

go to your local fabric store and pick out something you like and that is easy to work with i.e. something thin. i once used brush suede to do a headliner and dash board. came out real nice. you'll also need some of the sticky fabric spray. use the spray generously or it will fall.
