It can be done I've done it before. If you have the tools. 2 Large pry bars that look like spoons, some soap to help the tire slide over the rim, a 10 lb solid rubber mallet and the strenght and endurance to swing that hammer for about twenty minutes for each tire. I also did this on stock steel wheels and tall 78 series tires. Low profile tires would be out of the question. Changing tires this way is the definition of work.
