VAG-COM data blocks 114 and 118 (boost duty cyle vs. bypass duty cycle)???

2193 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  xray_boy
In data block 114, the 4th column reads "bypass duty cycle" and in block 118 3rd column it reads "boost duty cycle" BUT if you look at them together they always have the same numbers. Whats going on? I know there are many places in the data blocks that show the same info, is this the case? is it one or the other? or could it possible be the two different things and they just read the EXACT same?? I dont think so.
Its not really a big thing, but makes me very curious.

I am interested in seeing what this is all about as well.
Re: VAG-COM data blocks 114 and 118 (Boosted'01PhillyWolf)

i have seen that sometimes the text and the true data being monitored are not always clear...ie block three has a column titled load, but it is really throttle blade opening %.

the label files that determine what text is in there were all designed by average guys. I modified an AWD one to fit the NB engine code APH that I have. so there are some mistakes in them. They can be easily changed though, and they are much better thanusing what VW originally put in there. Uwe did a a great job when he came out with the version capable of it.
I hope someone that can help us out will add something to this post

yes i posted it at yahoo vag-com, no one has replied there either. someone must know.
i suspect they are the same info twice too, but they seem to be both opposites. boost duty cycle and bypass duty cycle????? there must be someone who knows.
