I was just sorting through my old brochure collection and came across one for the 2009 Kia Borrego.

So Kia actually made a body-on-frame SUV? I have never seen a TCL thread talking about this. I don't know if I've ever seen one on the road, and if I did I'm not sure I would have noticed it.

Made? No, makes! This same model is still in production, albeit with a fancy facelift. They stopped selling it here after only a year or two, though.

In Canada I believe they were available for three model years. Here's a $9900 CAD 2011 LX V8, the only one on AutoTrader.ca: 2011 Kia Borrego 4WD 4dr V8 LX - L'île-Bizard

Yeah, IIRC it was introduced at the high of gas prices in 2008, and had its first full year of sales during the financial crash of 2009, so it had pretty stiff headwinds from Day 1. They must have been more optimistic in Canada because they held onto it for a few more years.

For me, the Kia Borrego is one of those vehicles where I'm pretty sure I've heard the name, and I may have seen two on the road, but seeing the name on the car doesn't really ring any particular bell.
