there a large improvement over the US lights http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
install isnt very difficult, little trimming and a little bracket fabbing
if you buy them from http://www.parts4vws.com they come with full install instructions, as well as brackets http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Everything Boost said. Install is a breeze...and Potterman is the place to get the lights at. He provides a plug and play kit.
Basically the lighting pattern is different from the US DOT version of the headlights. The E-Codes spread the light out in front of the car, with a sharp cut off on the top of the beam(s) to prevent glare and blinding of on coming cars....also, the beam pattern slants up to the right to light up the side of the road and street signs. A vast imrovement over US DOT spec...I have had them on the car for nearly three years and still am awed by how well they light up the road. High beams = stadium lights.
You really think so? Man, the DOT lights must really suck, big time. My mom has a '94 Vento CL and I find the high beams to be really bad, compared to most cars I have driven (except the few US cars with DOTs of course)
