wonder if these wheels will fit my 2004 jetta gli?

Straight up? No, they won't.

or what i can do to make them fit. wheel adapters.

Correct; you'll need 5x100 --> 5x130mm adapters.
Then you'll need to determine the proper backspacing so you're not rubbing extremely hard.

They'll definitly work with adapters.
18" x 8" 5/130 ET 45 - - $269.99

18" x 9.5" 5/130 ET 49 - - $279.99
Well...if you can find thin adapters. The thinnest I've seen is 20mm....which gives you an ET of 25 in the front...a little sketchy bt they aren't super wide. The rears, with a 20mm adapter will be close to perfect (final ET of 29).

ill trust you but why not?

Not to note the obvious, but because I'd love to see you place on wheels that have a 30mm difference in the lug-bolt pattern...

have you seen a8l's on a gli?

Yes, and that was either due to:
* adapters
* or replicas in a 5x100mm pattern.
There are A8L monoblock photos in the archives.
