When Tanner Foust's 2014 Volkswagen Beetle GRC was added to Forza Horizon 2 as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Car Pack early last month, enthusiasts of the brand and the sport took notice.  With 540hp coming from just 1.6 liters of displacement thanks to a football-sized turbocharger and the dynamics to turn the most calm of gamers into Gymkhana all-stars, the car has quickly become an in-game favorite.   Last year while at the Seattle stop of the Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer was given the opportunity to ride along with Tanner for a few laps to see what the car could do on a purpose-built track and a seasoned professional behind the wheel.

In the video above, Spencer is given the ride of a lifetime in the Beetle GRC, the hero car of Forza Horizon 2's Rockstar Energy Car Pack.  While video doesn't exactly convey the sensations that Spencer and Foust experienced inside the car, the Head of Xbox does give a very good job of conveying what it's like to be strapped inside the purpose-build Rallycross car.

The Rockstar Energy Car Pack is available currently in Forza Horizon 2, and the latest from Tanner Foust can be found right here .
