In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Audi, VW, and Porsche have all announced that they will be extending some warrantees for customers.

The three automakers will extend warranty programs by three months for customers whose coverage expires between March 1 and May 31, 2020.

Porsche meanwhile, added the three months of extra coverage for customers whose warranties started during those months.

Although it is far from becoming de rigueur, VW is not the only one automaker to introduce a similar extension. Kia and Hyundai have also announced warranty extensions for people whose coverage was supposed to expire between March and May. Their coverage will be extended into June.

With service centers closed, customers who needed to get check-ups done during the lockdown would have been prevented from doing so. The extension, hopefully, will allow all warranty work that needed to be done get done, despite the pandemic.
