Will mkIII GTI VR6 calipers and rotors fit on a mkII Jetta if the rotor is drilled to fit four lug? If so do I have to get a different master cylinder?
Any info appreciated!!!

What year? 95 calipers will fit, use G-60 11" rotors and other parts needed for 11" conversion. If you mean 96+, the calipers should bolt on. Eurospec has 4 lug 11.3" rotors. You should upgrade to the 22mm MC.

quote:

why not just go with g60 4 lug brakes there 11 inch ,more than enought for a 8v or 16v and vr6 also .

and they are the same calipers as early VR6 brakes.

No the 11in G60 brakes are 4 lug and use a different caliper carrier and pads. The 11.3 in rotors have Mk3 plus suspension carriers and calipers and such. I'm doing this swap next week to my car you need alot of MK3 stuff to do it correctly. Are you just wanting bigger brakes or a 5-lug hub as well. If your hust looking for bigger brakes then get the G60 corrado brakes they are awsome. Dave

I said the EARLY VR6 ones are the same CALIPERS.
That's the 280mm set up. Caliper and carriers are the same and the discs are the same apart from the 5 lug fitting and the bigger drive splines. You can redrill the VR6 hubs to 4 stud and use the VR6 CV joints for a stronger setup.
You are talking about the later 288mm setup.

You are correct I was refering to the 288mm setup. That is what I'm currently putting on my GTI and I also have the G60 corrado brakes on my Jetta. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. Dave

The 288's are worth the extra hassle for fitting them.
We upgraded my mate's '92 VR6 to the later setup and the difference was amazing, even with stock plain discs.
I'm happy with my 280's for now. I'm fitting ABS too.

Hey guy's thanks alot for all the info.

The reason I ask, is I have an extra set of front VR6 calipers, and rotors from my 96 golf.
I wanted to put them on my wifey's 90 jetta gl.
