As the topic says,
I'm askin if some of you are runnin their VR6 with a EGT gauge ?? And if so, when (how many degrees) do the VR6 is running lean and do you use your EGT in a Supercharged, Turbocharged, Nitrous, or All Motor setup ?

At WOT when you're not running lean you'll see anywhere from 1350-1450 F. When things start leaning out you'll quickly move from 1450 on up to 1600 F and beyond.

whatever the setup, turbo s/c nitrous or all motor, EGT should be around 1350-1450deg F... If they're some fuel problem it should jump to 1600 and over... that's what I understand ?

You have to also remember EGT's will also spike if the computer is dialing out alot of ignition timing to prevent knock. So, EGT's will spike if: too lean, and under timing retard.

well, in boost application it's better to retard the timing right ? so what will happen with the EGT ????

so if y retard my timing of 2 and run ~8-10psi.... The EGT won't give me ~ 1350-1450deg F at WOT ?? That's what you want to say ???

Even with the timing pulled out the back with the mixture still burning in the exhaust, you shouldn't see temps in the 1600+ range unless you're going lean.

well, it's not really the "damn-I-maxed-out-a-piston" lean temperature I want, but approx. "normal" temperature or the "everything-is-ok" temperature in WOT and normal cruisin conditions...
