VR6 Head, larger valves in regular head?

949 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  billyVR6
Can you put larger valves in the regular vr6 head and make it a big vavle head? I don't really wanna spend 3g's on a BVH. What can I do to my head to make it better. I wanna put schrick 268's in and some high pressure valve springs.
I can get a mild port & polish for $395, and a 3 angle valve job for $135. Is any of this worth it? Buying a BVH is totally out of the question the price is insane, I'll make more power other ways with less money.
Any thoughts?

Yes you can. Call Dennon to buy the Schrick +2 valves, pretty expensive though.

Jim, contact Bill Schimmel at Schimmel Performance, his new heads use stock valves and have out flowed a few of the leading BVH's out there, has hours of flow bench results to prove it. Full race, street or FI heads, should run you about $1200 from him. Contact him thru the website, hope some of this info helps you out. http://www.schimmelperformance.com
