vrt oil leak problem!!??

959 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  BoostedDubVR6T420
i just finished my vrt about 3 weeks ago. its an 01 gti glx. i have a stg 2 kinetic kit. i been driving around and i noticed an oil leak under the car after its been sitting.
i tightened the tap into the filter housing and the oil pressure sensor. i still have a leak. i look under the car with it running and still cant find the leak.

if u have any vrt experience or have any ideas where it could possibly be coming from please post. i cant afford a new motor and its making me nervous thanks.
oh and by the way ,y oil press. sensor is broken so i have it spliced on so i dont throw a code but still it dont tell me if my oil pressure is low.

i had a leak from my return line under the turbo my first time around. put a piece of cardboard under there and you can see exactly where is is coming down and how much.
You're going to have to reach and feel around all of yuour oil fittings to point out the leak. I cant really guess where its coming from, and I would definatley replace the low pressure sensor.

ya maybe its from the bottom of the turbo. im not quite sure. i tried to feel around but it feels like everything has oil on it.it looks more like its coming from the front of the motor where as the turbo is obviously in the back. i know im making it sound worse then it is but its really frustrating.

wipe everything down nice and dry, drive it just enough to get it leaking then get under there and find the leak, it wont be all over the place then
