hey, anyone know of any junkyards that have VW parts? I'm trying to look for a junkyard that specializes in VW or euro parts?? do these kind of junkyards exist in Queens? the thing is i don't want to dive from yard to yard looking for parts. let me know if anyone out there has any leads. thanks.

The only junkyards I know of are the ones by Shea Stadium and Huntspoint in the BX but I doubt they have any shops for dubs only.

You have to way north for an VW only junkyard. VW Parts, I think the name of the town is Fleishman (SP?) and it is about an hour north of Kingston. To break that down-Poughkeepsie is a little less than an hour north of you, and for me to get from PK to Fleishmen is another 2 hours. It was worth the drive tho-they got a lot of cool sh!t.

there is a shop called "quattro center" in queens with a nice collection of parts cars in the back, not sure what your looking for but they may have it.

1-800 VW PARTS for the one in Fleishman, if I recall correctly. Hella nice guys up there, they hooked me up w/ a black hood, Golf IV lights, and grill. Competitive prices too. They do not accept credit cards. Cash or check. I don't know about the other place, sounds like it would be closer to you tho.

You might want to check out some other place on easter long island. I know a guy in Freeport (Nassau county) who does only dubs but hes a sketchy guy. There lots of places in suffolk county! what are you looking for specifically?

ive used 1800vwparts but they can be not only expensive but jerks as well. i wont go into specifics because everyone will give you a different opinion but my advice is if you can get a part from somewhere beside 1800vwparts do it.
with that aside theres a place in the bronx around 180th st i think named volkswagen city, its like 2 blocks off webster ave [its on the road that runs parallel with the metro north tracks. they have a yard with parts cars i think but ive never actually been there. theres a place in MD too that does mail order used vw parts, if you ask in the golf2 forum someone would probly know
