Just went to Edmunds.com to see if there are any new incentives for VW's. Compared to last month's Edmunds, it appears the financing went down.
Examples:
48 months for a New Passat is now 4.9%
48 months for a New Jetta is now 3.9%
[EDIT] I see that Edmunds now lists those rates since 1/1/02. Looks like their webpage wasn't updated last month.[\EDIT]

Three questions for VWGuild:
1. Does VW Financing allow for automatic debit for the payments?
2. Any pre-payment penalties with VW financing?
3. Do you look at "FICO" scores to determine if the buyer gets the VW rate? If so, what is the minimum FICO score (FICO is like a credit rating....... numerical for those who don't know).

I don't believe that VW Credit offers automatic payments options right now. There is no prepayment penalty for financing through VW Credit.
The 3.9% financing for 48 months is only on the Jetta 1.8T and the 2.0 Wagon. All other models are at 4.9%.

1. They offered me auto payments when I bought my car from VW credit at the end of my lease.
2. Not if its a simple intrests loan.

OK, I just called VW Credit and they told me that they do offer the automatic payment option on both leases and loans. My mistake.

2.9% is for 36 months on the Jetta 2.0 Wagon and the 1.8T Sedan. It is for 24 months for all other models.

Yep, even on the TDI. But, it makes for a huge payment. If you finance $15,000 for 24 mos at 2.9% you end up with a payment $644!

The VW website is a JOKE. The previous version had a link at the homepage about VW Incentives. Where the hell do you find the Incentives now.
Not intuitive............ at least for me.
